Mr. Kaplan has been involved with adoption work for approximately 20 years. His interest in helping people adopt children began during his clerkship with the New Jersey Family Court in 1986.

As part of that clerkship, Mr. Kaplan’s duties included reviewing complaints for adoption filed by prospective adopting parents for compliance with the Adoption Statute, and reviewing all subsequent papers filed by attorneys for the adopting parents for completeness.

As a result of these experiences, Mr. Kaplan has a broad base of experience and knowledge in his adoption practice.

Our office has handled all types of adoptions over the years. "We represent many step-parents seeking to adopt their step-children".
